Labor Day

Yesterday being Labor Day, we headed out for another day of Family Fun!

Our day began bright and early with our ward's annual Pancake Breakfast at 8am!
Of course, we arrived at Morgan/Mormon standard time though! We ate some scrumptious pancakes, eggs, and sausage then had a fun time playing on the parks playground for a couple of hours!Ian and Noah are getting so BIG! Look at my little boys climbing up all the equipment! Noah was in HEAVEN! He loves, loves, loves to climb, and could not get enough of this park! We will have to go to this park more often!I really do like Franklin Park(the park we are at here)! It has so many different toys and slides for the kids to play on! They are all spread out as well with lots of grassy spots in between them! It was fun watching Ian and Noah run back and forth between all the area to play! It was also fun to watch Daddy play football! Although, it didn't last very long! The boys really wanted to get back to playing on the toys!Sean and I can tell already that Noah is going to be our Little Daredevil! He is FEARLESS! His favorite way to go down the BIG slides...HEAD FIRST! He also seems to have NO fear of heights, whatsoever! The slide that Ian and Noah are going down, pictured above has to be close to 15 or more feet high! Last year, when we came to the breakfast, Ian was apprehensive about going up this slide all by himself, so I went up there with him. This year, both he and Noah...NO PROBLEMS!
After the ward activity ended we headed up to Indianapolis to go on the Canal Walk! It was beautiful! I've seen parts of the Canal before from the roads while driving but have never gone to walk along it before. Sean has gone a couple of times for various school stuff, but we'd never been as a family! It was really pretty and there was alot of interesting things to look at while walking. There were lots of fountains, tons of pretty little sitting areas, and even the back of the Indiana State Museum opens up to the Canal.
The pictures of Ian on the Wooly Mammoth were taken at the back of the museum. Ian did NOT like it when Sean lifted him up on the Mammoth's tusks! He did, however, sit on the trunk for me to take a picture! We didn't take a picture of Noah with the Mammoth though...every time we got him close to it he started screaming! And so, we have found something our "fearless" child is afraid of! A giant Wooly Mammoth statue! How funny! Sean and I decided that we would have to go back again another time! There were some really fun things you could rent for your trip along the Canal! There were surrey bikes, paddle boats, canoes, and even gondolas! We both agreed that it would be a fun and romantic date night to go on a gondola ride sometime!

So there you have it! Our Labor Day fun in a nutshell! Hope you had as fun of a day as we did!
