Seeing Santa

A local dental office was having free pictures with Santa Claus tonight! Ian was so excited to go see Santa, sit on his lap, and of course...
Tell Santa what he wants for Christmas!!!
The dental office was great! They had the photos with Santa Claus, face painting (which oddly Ian oppted out for), a red or green balloon for each child, and a Christmas goodie bag as well! All for FREE!!! They took the picture of just the boys first. It was really cute how Noah just cuddled into Santa! Then they took our family picture...not our best one ever...but at least the boys aren't screaming, right?!? Actually, when they were getting us ready for the family picture, Noah started to get a little scared by that time. He was crying before this picture but then calmed down!

All in all, it was a fun little family excursion. It definately beat going to a mall, or a picture place!

The Little Elf Story

Once upon a time, there was a Little Elf. The Little Elf loved his older brother, and always wanted to do, everything just the same as him. One day the Little Elf's parents were busy getting ready for church, and so the Little Elf went unattended for awhile as they prepared lessons, showered, and packed the Church bags.
Without the Little Elf's parents realizing it, the Little Elf quietly climbed the stairs of his house. He went into his bathroom, and opened the door of the cabinet where the lock had previously been broken off! Because he always wanted to be like his older brother... He found his brother's pre-brush gel for brushing teeth, took it out from under the sink, and went into his bedroom to use it!

Some time passed by, and the Little Elf's parents realized that their house was ALOT quieter than normal! And so, the Little Elf's parents went to check on their children. The Little Elf's parents found his older brother downstairs playing nicely with his toys. But where was the Little Elf? The parents started searching for the Little Elf, and when they found him this is what they discovered...

Their Little Elf, had turned himself into a Little Green Elf!When the Little Elf saw his parents he was so excited!
He showed his parents his Little Green Hands... Then stood up and did a Little Green Elf dance! But to the Little Elf's dismay his parents took away his older brother's pre-brush gel! Then they took the Little Elf into the bathroom to clean him up. The Little Elf was NOT happy about this! So he started to throw a tantrum...and the usual Happy Little Elf, then turned into the Incredible Hulk! He threw his head back and let out a BIG LOUD CRY!He rubbed his little eyes...and his little nose...then finally decided to calm down. And when the Incredible Hulk, turned back into Little Elf...he had managed to turn most of his little face green...with his little green hands! ~THE END~

Laundry Helper

Noah is becoming quite a little helper!
When I am doing the laundry he likes to come and peek into the dryer! And he loves it when I let him help put in the clothes!

I think it’s so cute when little kids start helping with everyday chores! Noah also likes to help us set the table, and is fascinated with the dishwasher! Hopefully when my boys grow up they will still like to help with the chores… for their Mom, and one day for their Wife!

Carrot Sandwiches

A couple of weeks ago I asked Ian what he wanted for lunch.
He told me, “A Carrot Sandwich!”

I thought it sounded like an odd combination, so I asked him if he wanted something else, giving him some other choices. He said, “No Mom, I want a Carrot Sandwich!”

So I honored his request!
Here is Ian’s Carrot Sandwich!
He decided he wanted cheese and mayo on it too while I was making it!He actually ate the whole thing, and liked it!
Then for the next couple days, he continued to ask for them! Here's Ian silly/kinda scary cheese face!

Funny boy!

A Firefighter's Lunch

Noah really likes to dress up now!
The other day he dressed himself up as a Firefighter
(completed with a toy dagger),
then came into the kitchen for lunch!
This Firefighter LOVES chicken nuggets!Oh, and cottage cheese and milk! It's all Delicious! And I still have my Firefighter hat on! AMAZING! Chicken, is always finger lickin' good! Who can resist my blue eyes and messy mouth? Firefighter Noah is getting pretty good with a spoon too! YUMMY!
Just what this Firefighter needed after playing hard! Here's Ian eating his lunch too!
He wanted to be included in the pictures as well!

PS. Yes, my kids are still in their PJ’s at lunchtime!
Every once in awhile we just need a pajama day!

Hiding

The boys found a new hiding spot!
Noah the other day pulled out a basket of toys that we keep in the armoire, then proceeded to climb into the armoire where we keep the basket! It was too funny! While in there, he decided to watch a little TV!And of course, Ian thought Noah's hiding place was great!
So he wanted to try to hide too!
(Although, I think you're a bit to big for that spot buddy!)Noah tried to pull Ian out!
He wanted his cool hiding spot back!
Ahhhh, My Silly Boys!
They never cease to make me laugh!

Lego Mania

Ian loves Legos!
When Sean first came home from a garage sale with a HUGE tote full of Legos, they were an instant hit! Ever since Ian has been making remarkable constructions!!!
One of Ian's earlier Masterpieces...
He constructed this when he was just about 2 1/2 years old, only a couple of months after Noah was born.
The other day when Noah was down for a nap, Ian was playing quietly in the living room, while I was in the kitchen. I went to peek on him to see what he was up to and this is what I found!!! Ian, building away with the Legos!!!I was so impressed with his building that of course, I HAD to take pictures of him & his creations!!!
What a cute boy posing for the camera!Happy as can be!Silly "Cheese" Face! What a Little Stud!Showing me how his Robot works! And his creations...
A Skyscraper Bridge & Two Robots!
Awesome Job, Ian!!!Also, Ian has recently become interested in the "Big Boy" Legos! I can't WAIT to see what he puts together with these!!!
Expect to see more great works of genius in the future!
