Adventures of Potty Training: Entry 2

Ian stayed dry and poop-free ALL DAY! Yippee! I still had to be the one to tell him when it was time to go into use the potty, but there were no fights about it. Also, by midday it was getting really tedious to go every 20 minutes so I gradually took it to 40 minutes then to 1 hour. He even took a trip with Sean to Meijer(our local grocery store), to get gas for the car, and to the movie store...and stayed dry! We are SO PROUD of him! He didn't go poop at all today...but I did get him to try to do some pushing to see if he could. But no luck on that one. At least he didn't do it in the underwear though, so we will try with him again tomorrow. For sleeping during the night tonight we put a diaper back on him and told him he could wear underwear again tomorrow. He was VERY excited about it and already told us he wants to wear T-Rex undies tomorrow! (Cute kid!) We decided to put a diaper on him for overnight because we didn't want it to be to much for him at once. We figured we'd get him going by himself during the day and then train him overnight.

Plan for tomorrow: Underwear on him right when he wakes up in the morning, then set the timer for him to go every hour gradually making it's way to 2 or 2 1/2 hours over the course of the day. We'll have to see if he starts telling us when he needs to go! Wish us luck!
